Update 10 pm, Tuesday: Most power has been restored on the campus of Toledo Hospital. Electricity is running in all buildings except in the Harris McIntosh tower. Anyone with appointments there on Wednesday should call ahead.
Visitors were being asked to stay away from Toledo Hospital after a power outage this afternoon but despite the lack of electricity, Promedica says no patients were ever in danger. However, any programs or appointments scheduled were cancelled. The hospital was urging anyone who has plans to visit a loved one at the hospital to stay away for time being saying for them its all about keeping patients safe, Facilities Supervisor Christopher Buck told us â??we all go through training on this, all of the staff knows what to do to make sure the patients are well taken care ofâ??. As of 5 oâ??clock Tuesday evening Promedica said they expected full power to be restored shortly, but still hadnâ??t identified the source of the outage.
