Tue, 14 Jan 2014 10:13:08 GMT — The Heatherdowns branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Library will reopen Tuesday morning, days after the busted pipes damaged floors and books. The library is scheduled to open at 9 a.m.Last week, workers discovered leaks in the building that covered its carpets and books soaked in water. The water leak came after the weekend storm dumped about 13 inches of snow, placing many counties in northwest Ohio under a level 3 snow emergency for several days. The library staff says this issue isn't something new for them, but the building needed to close a few days to make repairs. The library will open during regular hours, but its meeting rooms won't be available until Jan. 21.
