The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will kick off its levy campaign on Thursday with a rally set for 11 a.m. at Fifth Third Field.
The library is hoping voters will pass a 2.9 mill levy on November 6, which provides nearly 50 percent of its funding. The new levy would replace an existing 2 mill levy that expires at the end of the year. The levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home less than 8 cents per day.
Toledo Mayor Michael Bell and Maumee Mayor Timothy Wagener will be there, as well as Lucas County Commissioner Pete Gerken.
