A Toledo man has been arrested after police say he raped a woman while she was a patient at Flower Hospital in early April.
33-year-old Jesse Lee Buck was arrested by Sylvania Police Monday evening. According to a
, Buck forcibly engaged in sexual conduct with a 21-year-old female victim inside Flower Hospital around 10:15 a.m. on April 1.
Sylvania Police said the female victim was a patient at the time of the incident and is currently an employee at the hospital. However, ProMedica Flower Hospital has said the victim is not an employee of the hospital.
Buck was also a patient at Flower Hospital at the time of the incident, according to police.
A rape kit was received by investigators on April 3. Within two weeks, DNA samples were collected from two different men, including Buck.
Buck is being held in the Lucas County Jail while he awaits arraignment.
ProMedica Flower Hospital released the following statement Tuesday: "ProMedica Flower Hospital is sorry and understands that this is a difficult time for this individual. Our thoughts are with her and her family. We are cooperating fully with the Sylvania Police investigation."
