Toledo man convicted in dog shooting case

A Toledo dog owner has been convicted of shooting his caged German Shepherd six times last July.

During his trial, Lawrence Mick told the jurors that his friend shot his dog Sarge and not him. But the jury didn't buy his story convicting Mick of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He faces five years in prison when he's sentenced later this month.

He's also facing a separate animal cruelty trial.
