Toledo man sentenced for sex trafficking teen girls

TOLEDO -- A Toledo man convicted of sex trafficking two teenage girls online will have to spend 15 years in prison.Last June, a jury found 28-year-old Brady Jackson guilty on two counts of sex trafficking.

Court documents say Jackson advertised on a website called backpage.com that the girls, ages 15 and 16, were available for prostitution. Jackson told the girls that he would take all the money but would take them shopping and get their hair and nails done.

The girls were arrested at a Toledo motel Sept. 20 during a police undercover investigation into prostitution activities promoted in the escort section of the website. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Carol M. Skutnik and Ava Dustin following an investigation by the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force.
