A Toledo man who confessed to killing his mother is scheduled for another court appearance next week.
34-year-old Anthony Bertolina faced the court Monday morning on charges of murdering his mother at her home at 3158 Winston.
Bertolina admitted to Toledo Police that he stabbed his mother, Mary Bertolina, with a hunting knife. Officials found Mary stabbed to death in her bedroom Sunday, according to court documents.
The next day, officials arrested Bertolina around noon at his residence on Winston Boulevard.
Bertolina had been arrested previously on charges of petty theft, receiving stolen property, and breaking-and-entering.
He is being held on a $1 million bond at no percent. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 17.
