UPDATE AS OF 09/09/13 9:30 am:
A continuance has been issued in the case against Amanda Bacon. Her trial is now scheduled to start Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m. Her attorney said a pathology expert will testify on Bacon's behalf.
The trial for a Toledo mom whose baby died from a severe head injury begins Monday morning.
The judge originally set the trial date for June 10, but it was postponed to Monday at 9 a.m.
A Lucas County Grand Jury indicted Amanda Bacon, 25, on charges of aggravated murder and child endangerment. Toledo police arrested Bacon last year in December after her baby died from a skull fracture. Authorities said Bacon threw six-month-old Avery Glynn Bacon against a hard surface.
Avery had been flown in by Life Flight to Mott Children's Hospital, but he died days later from the injuries.
Bacon is being held on a $1 million bond.
