A Toledo family, including a mother and her two sons, were sentenced in federal court on Thursday.
According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, 29-year-old Mark A. Fetter was sentenced to a little more than 10 years in a federal prison for juvenile sex trafficking.
Once he??s served 125 months, he will be under supervised release for another 10 years and will have to register as a sex offender.
??This sentence should send a clear message to those who would seek to organize and profit from these horrific crimes,?? United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Steven M. Dettelbach said.
Fetter??s brother and his mother, 27-year-old Kamell Fetter and 47-year-old Blanche V. Triplett, were also sentenced on Thursday for facilitating communication between Mark Fetter and his 17-year-old victim.
Authorities say the pair helped Mark Fetter contact the victim, and directed her not to cooperate
with law enforcement, after his arrest.
Kamell Fetter will serve 2 years in federal prison for his role in the crime.
Triplett was sentenced to three years of probation and will serve four months in a halfway house.
