Investigators say a box likely containing human remains has been found on the property where a missing toddler, Elaina Steinfurth, was last seen in June.
The new information led them to execute a search warrant at the property Thursday afternoon. During that search, investigators were seen carring a box out of a detached garage.
According to Lucas County Coroner James Patrick, that computer box contained remains which appear to be human.
Volunteers and authorities have searched all over the city for the girl, including the Federal St. property where a box was obtained Thursday.
Toledo Police will discuss the details of Thursday's search at a press conference Friday. WATCHpress conference live on WNWO and northwestohio.com beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday. You can also follow the latest updates in real-time via WNWO's Twitter and Facebook.
