Toledo Police video show technology driven crime fighting, Without being too serious

Toledo Police have released a new video produced to show off their new crime fighting tools.

A new video, released and produced by Toledo Police, aims to highlight how the department is using new technology to solve crime but manages to do it with a little humor.

The video shows a would-be burglar being pursued, at first by a Toledo Police patrolman, then by an air unit and SWAT team.

Employees of Toledo's Police Department even took on some acting roles in the video but contributed their time and efforts free of charge.

The video was created to demonstrate the department's new data driven policing but, like many of the posts on TPD's Facebook page, got a few laughs on social media.

TPD Facebook fan Mike Schlosser said, "really they brought in swat for a unarmed fat man!!"

Another commenter said, "that looks like it would have costed over 250k to get that guy".

A Toledo Police representative couldn't say how much money was put into making the video but reiterated that those involved donated their time.
