Toledo Powertrain plant receives EPA honor

Toledo Powertrain Plant

Toledo's General Motors Powertrain Plant is one of 63 factories in the nation to meet the EPA's Energy Reduction challenge.

The plant cut its energy intensity by 27% in less than three years to meet the EPA's Energy Star Challenge for industry.

This is the second year in row that the Toledo plant has achieved this recognition for energy efficiency.

The plant has saved nearly $6 million in energy costs through its efforts.

GM leads all companies worldwide in meeting the challenge.
