City of Toledo road crews worked throughout Wednesday to get streets in drivable condition following another snowfall.

Motorist were greeted with slushy roads and brutal strong winds Wednesday morning.

" T he hardest part of it was the wind. You have 30 mph gust, blowing it right back over what you just plowed. It's tough on the drivers, " Commissioner David Welch of Streets, Harbor & Bridges

In the City of Toledo road crews worked 12-hour shifts to get main roads cleared.

But in every snow snorm, secondary and side streets tend to look worse. Welch says private plows contracted through the city started plowing side streets Wednesday and will continue throughout the night.

Because of melted snow freezing with overnight lows flirting in sub zero territory, the Lucas County Sheriff's Office is advising drivers not to be on the roads if possible.
