Toledo trash pick up pushed back
Wed, 08 Jan 2014 22:22:39 GMT —
Trash pick up in the city of Toledo continues to be delayed.
Republic Services trucks were not able to run today because of the weather. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on a one-day delay this week.
Monday and Tuesday trash routes will not be collected this week. Republic will collect extra trash bags placed next to the curb, in addition to regular collection carts, next week.
The company issued this statement about recycling:
"Republic understands that Monday and Tuesday recycling customers currently have higher volumes of recyclables due to the holidays. Given the fewer number of recycling routes than trash routes, Republic will be actively working to catch up on recycling routes throughout the remainder of this week. Monday and Tuesday customers are welcome to either leave their recycling cart by the curb this week, or place it by the curb for collection next week, along with their trash.
All previously scheduled bulk pick-ups will be collected throughout this week, as well.
Republic apologizes for this delay and is working as quickly as possible to resume normal collections."
