General Motorsâ?? recall of more than two million vehicles is prompting local used-car lots to call GM dealers for repairs. Dunn Chevrolet in Oregon has a list of more than 75 vehicles on their repair list.

Andrea Syroka is the manager of Northpointe Auto Sales, a used car lot in Toledo. She joined Dunn Chevroletâ??s list today after learning two of the vehicles on her lot are defective. Her Chevy Cobalt and Pontiac G-5 need their ignitions replaced.

â??I definitely want our customers in safe vehicles,â?? Syroka said. â??Thatâ??s the number one important thing.â??

Syroka is calling around to see if any other dealerships can do the job sooner. Dunn Chevrolet and other local dealers are still waiting to receive the needed parts for ignition replacements.

â??This kinda kinks me up,â?? Syroka said. â??Iâ??ve got about three people actually waiting to test drive it.â??

The Chevy Cobalt just arrived on the Northpointe lot Monday. Syroka said her coworker called Dunn Chevrolet upon the carâ??s arrival. Northpointe was originally told the vehicle wasnâ??t on the recall list.
