Federal officials have arrested Friday a Toledo woman who faces charges of sex-trafficking a minor across state lines.
Authorities arrested 35-year-old Amber Giner, also known as, Amber Mendoza, for allegedly moving a minor from Ohio to Michigan in December 2009 for prostitution.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney James V. Moroney after the Toledo Resident Agency of the FBI and the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force have been investigating this incident.
If convicted, Mendoza's sentence will be based on the court's review of the case including the defendant??s prior criminal record and role in the offense.
