Too Cute: Lucas Co. rescue creates custom doggie sweatshirts

Sophie, WNWO anchor Angi Gonzalez's dog, is wearing a pink version of the doggie sweatshirt.

It's been a brutally cold winter, not just for people but pets, and a local dog rescue has created doggie sweatshirts to raise money.

Squiggy, one of the Lucas County Pit Crew's many adoptable dogs modeled one of the custom made sweatshirts for WNWO's cameras.

The Pit Crew is selling the custom made pieces at $50 for dogs, with more than half of that money going back into the organization.

The group also sell human sweatshirts for $40 and t-shirts for $20, for those who'd like to match their pup.

Money raised by the organization goes to helping save countless animals from being put to sleep.

Sweatshirts, including the ones for the dogs, are available in grey, green, and pink.

T-Shirts are available in yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, and grey.

Squiggy is one of the many dogs that benefit from all donations to the Lucas County Pit Crew.

He's currently in foster care but loves to be pet, play and show off his skills.

Squiggy already knows how to sit and lay and is great with other dogs, with the exception of unneutered adult male dogs.

If you are interested in buying a sweatshirt, t-shirt, adopting Squiggy or simply want to make a donation you can find the Pit Crew on Facebook or email to
