Town halls begin for Seneca County Museum suggestions
TIFFIN, Ohio —
The Seneca County Museum staff is getting feedback from its community in hopes of trying to attract more visitors.
It held two town hall meetings Tuesday at the YMCA in Tiffin. The museum is looking for ideas, input on future exhibits and how to spend grant money.
One topic discussed was fundraising without increasing taxes. The museum opened in 1915 and stays current with new exhibits.
"The money would come through doing a 'Friends of the Museum' campaign or doing a big event with the other museums as a combined fundraiser," Museum Director Tonia Hoffert said.
There will be one more town hall for citizens looking to voice their opinions on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.
