Both Officers involved in the incident are on paid administrative leave.

Toledo Police say they are still investigating after an officer shot and killed a man while responding to a 911 call about domestic violence.

Police say 44-year-old Shane Marsh was shot and killed on Monday night when he was seen with a knife by an officer investigating the call at 1735 Berkshire Place.

Marsh died on scene.

The officer was later identified as five-year TPD veteran Jonathan Curtis.

Toledo Police Chief Kral said in a statement on Tuesday morning, "What I need from the community is to let the department continue its investigation. But, preliminarily, based on information I have received from detectives, it appears Officer Curtis acted within department policy and the law to defend himself and protect the female."
