Toledo police are investigating a pair of shootings within just 30 minutes of each other and about a mile apart.
The first took place outside Waite High School just after 9 p.m.
Investigators say 20-year-old Antwan Goetz had just left the Boys City League Championship inside the school's gym when a black male fired several shots at Goetz near the intersection of Mott and Essex.
Goetz was hit in the leg and was taken to St. Vincent's with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the shooter is a black male, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and had braided hair.
Just 30 minutes later, police were dispatched to another shooting, about a mile away from Waite H.S., along North Huron.
During the second shooting, 26-year-old Alexander Williams of Toledo was shot once in the back and once in the leg.
Police say Williams was walking on the street when he was approached by the two black male suspects. Williams was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
