Trash pick-up delayed by frigid weather

Trash collection will be delayed by one day in the city of Toledo.

Frigid temperatures and what's left of the latest winter storm is delaying trash pick-up for residents in the city of Toledo and any community that uses Republic Services.

The refuse company says there will be no trash pick up on Tuesday and collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Tuesday's routes will be collected on Wednesday.

Monday's routes will not be collected until next Monday, January 13.

The company cited safety reasons for not sending their crews out until Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to stay well below zero through Tuesday.

The city of Napoleon has also said they will not send refuse collectors out on Tuesday. Trash collection is scheduled to resume on Wednesday.
