Tree falls on school bus, injures 6

Five students and a bus driver were injured Thursday morning when a tree fell on top of a Blissfield school bus.

According to school officials, the bus was driving near the intersection of Gorman and Crockett Highway when a three-foot wide tree along the road fell and hit the front of the bus. The tree then rolled over the top of the bus, taking out several windows before falling off the back.

Around 40 students were inside the bus at the time of the incident. Five students and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
