estimony began Wednesday in the trial of a Toledo mother accused in the death of her six-month-old son.
26-year-old Amanda Bacon is charged with aggravated murder, murder, and child endangering stemming from the December 2012 death of Avery Glynn Bacon. Prosecutors say the west Toledo mother threw her son against a hard surface, causing a severe skull fracture which led to his death two days later.
Bacon has pleaded not guilty.
The state of Ohio began its case against Bacon on Wednesday and must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she is responsible for the death.
The trial is expected to last through next week.
