      Two pounds of marijuana found during Wood County traffic stop

      A traffic stop for speeding along I-75 in Wood County led to a pot bust Tuesday.

      A traffic stop for speeding along I-75 in Wood County led to a pot bust Tuesday.

      The Ohio State Highway Patrol says troopers stopped a 2002 Kia Spectra, with Ohio plates, for speeding and lane change violations near mile post 199 around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

      When troopers approached those inside the vehicle, they smelled marijuana.

      A search of the car revealed three freezer bags marijuana weighing approximately two pounds. The pot is valued at nearly $9,100, according to troopers.

      32-year-old Harold E. Taylor, of Mansfield, Ohio, was a passenger in the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with felony counts of trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana. He is being held in the Wood County Jail.
