United Way of Greater Toledo celebrates National 2-1-1 Day
TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) —
Today is February 11th, which means it's National 2-1-1 Day for the United Way.
2-1-1 is a free, 24-hour, help line for anyone needing assistance in things like housing and food.
In 2017, the United Way of Greater Toledo received 50,000 calls to 2-1-1.
New developments have also allowed people in need to instant message the assistance line.
"Some of the most popular, or most sought after services that folks have inquired about are shelter and housing, food, as well as education and employment services," said Lucas Stall of the United Way of Greater Toledo.
The United Way of Greater Toledo services Lucas, Wood and Ottawa Counties.
