Univ. of Toledo library closed due to sewer problems, flooding ahead of final exams

The University of Toledo's Carlson Library is closed due to flooding.

With the start of final exams a matter of days away, the University of Toledo's Carlson Library remains closed Wednesday as crews clean up flooding inside the building.

The university sent an alert to all students, faculty, and staff Tuesday night

warning that the library had been closed

due to failed sewer pipes. The issue caused flooding throughout the building.

The top five floors of Carlson Library will are to reopen at 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the

university's Twitter

account. The basement, where flooding was an issue, will reopen for normal hours Thursday morning.

The last day of spring semester classes at UT is Friday. Final exams begin on Monday, April 28.
