A campus-wide alert was sent to University of Toledo students and staff Wednesday evening after police received a report of an armed robbery on campus.
The alert was sent shortly before 8 p.m. asking students to stay away from the area of McComas Village.
University of Toledo Police were in search of a possible suspect as of 8 p.m. The alert indicated a weapon was seen.
At 8:40 p.m. a second alert was sent indicating an all clear. The university said crews had cleared the scene of the armed robbery.
No further details were given as students were allowed to return to that area of campus.
