      Update: Police downplay attempted abduction in Bedford Twp.

      Call Monroe Co. Sheriff's Office if you recognize this man

      According to the Monroe News, the sheriff's office said it doesn't appear any crime was committed in the reported attempted abduction of a teenage girl in Bedford Township. The 15-year-old girl was walking home from Bedford High School in bad weather when the man pulled over and asked if she wanted a ride.

      Sgt. John Plath told the newspaper that the man did not force her to get into the car or grab her. Police released a composite sketch as a precaution for area schools. The investigation is ongoing .

      The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says last Friday afternoon a man approached a girl while she was walking home from school in Bedford Township. She was able to get away and was not hurt.

      The man is described as a white male, with brown hair, brown eyes, thin build with a thick Middle Eastern accent. He was driving a black four door sedan.
