The Toledo Correctional Institution remained on lock-down late Thursday after prison officials learned a weapon or explosive device might be inside the facility.
Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, a spokesperson with the Ohio Department of Corrections said that 75 % of the facility had been searched in the hopes of resolving any concerns.
While no explosives, of any kind, were found in the first portions of the search authorities did confiscate several make-shift knives, a cell phone, and drugs.
Tactical search teams, including officers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ohio Department of Corrections, were at the prison on Thursday conducting the search of the facility.
Officials say because of the threat, the prison would be on lock-down until further notice.
