Update: Young boys rescued at Maumee Bay State Park

It took rescue crews just over an hour to find the missing pair.

Authorities in Oregon have rescued 2 boys that become lost on the ice near Maumee Bay State Park on Monday.

Crews used an air boat to rescue 12-year-old and 15-year-old boys.

The search for the pair began around 3:30 p.m. and was initially believed to be a "water rescue."

An hour-and-a-half later, officials found the pair and learned they had not fallen into the water.

Both boys were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Dispatchers told WNWO that they did not believe the pair would have to be hospitalized.

The two were reportedly walking on the ice with their family when they became separated.
