VIDEO: Hooded & hatchet wielding suspect tries to crack open ATM

Authorities are asking for your help identifying the suspect seen in this surveillance image.

Crime Stoppers of Lenawee County are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect who broke into a Franklin Township business.

Surveillance video captured the person behind the break-in, at the Patriot Pub & Grub, on May 7 at 6400 West US-12.

Authorities said that a cleaning crew was the first to discover the place had been broken into.

Investigators believe the suspect forced open the door to the Tipton bar in order to get in.

Inside the bar, the suspect tried to break-into an ATM but failed.

The thief then stole a handbag that was left in the bar area and fled the scene.

Although the suspect's face was covered the person is described as being average height, with a medium build and was wearing a hooded jacket.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity that leads to their arrest is eligible for a cash reward.
