Video shows man using toddler during laundromat break-in

The Northwood Police Department is trying to locate two suspects involved in the breaking and entering of the Northwood Coin Laundry on East Andrus Road. The incident happened on May 16. Surveillance video shows the male suspect hoisting a toddler onto his shoulders after which the toddler grabs the wires from a ceiling security camera. Sgt. Douglas Hubaker is with the Northwood Police Dept. "It's disappointing to see that someone would stoop so low to use a 3-year-old to help them further their crime," Sgt. Hubaker said.

Karen McConnell uses the laundromat at least once a week. "It's amazing what people will do to take something that belongs to someone else to sell it and have money," Ms. McConnell said.

Anyone who recognizes the adult male and female in the surveillance video should call the Northwood Police Dept. at 419-691-5053.
