Toledo Police are investigating a homicide case of a Toledo cab driver beaten to death back in April.
It wasn't until this month, that the Lucas Coroner labeled his death a homicide.
Authorities hope the shift in their investigation will help generate new leads that will identify the person responsible for 66-year-old William Allen Moore's death.
Investigators say in the early morning hours of April 28, Moore drove to Chuck's on Monroe in West Toledo to look for potential customers.
At some point after he arrived, Moore got into a verbal argument with two men outside of the business.
One of the men hit Moore in the head and continued to punch him, as several bystanders in surveillance video appear to look on without helping the victim.
Moore, who also went by the name Timmy, died a few days after the attack.
The Toledo Blade attributes the delay to Moore's existing health problems, which kept his death from being "flagged" until now.
Anyone who can identify the man punching Moore in the video, or might have information about what happened, is asked to call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
