Volunteers tee off for 34th annual Marathon Classic
SYLVANIA, OHIO (WNWO) -- The Marathon classic kicked off Monday with first tee off starting at 11.
And though the players won't start arriving for a few days, volunteers are already working hard.
Around 1,000 Northwest Ohioans are on the highland meadows course.
Their positions ranging from food and transportation to greeters and security.
While volunteers are not paid, many say they do it for the experience.
There also are some spots open to be standard bearers and Marshalls for this week. .
