Water boil advisory for area on Holland-Sylvania Rd. in Sylvania Twp.

The Lucas County Sanitary Engineer says the alert takes effect 3 p.m.

A water boil advisory has been issued Tuesday afternoon for some residents along Holland-Sylvania Road in Sylvania Township.

The Lucas County Sanitary Engineer said the 48-hour boil advisory takes effect at 3 p.m. Tuesday for water customers along Holland-Sylvania Road from Westacre Road to I-475.

Crews are making water main repairs and have planned preparatory work. The water will be shut off to minimize the impact to nearly 100 water customers in the area.

Customers are asked to boil drinking water for at least a minute as a precaution. The advisory will be in effect for at least 48 hours or until further notification.
