Toledo Police have blocked off a residential street near North Maumee Bay as streams of water burst onto the road.
Officials responded to a resident's call of a water main break in the block of 100 Edgewater Drive around 5 a.m. Friday.Toledo's Manager of Water Distribution Terry Russeau said the old piping system created a 12-inch wide crack in the road and goes about 6 feet deep. Public Works crew is working on repairs.
Residents in the area have running water. Crews expect to finish repairs by Friday afternoon. Russeau said a water-boil advisory is not needed.
