Wear Blue Wednesday to raise awareness about child abuse

Wednesday, April 10 is Wear Blue Day!

At work, school, or play, Wednesday is the day to help raise awareness about child abuse by wearing blue.

Wear Blue Day! is being recognized all over Lucas County, on Wednesday, April 10, to help unite the community against child abuse. The all-day event is sponsored by Lucas County Children Services and encourages everyone in the community to wear blue to their place of employment, their school, or wherever they plan to spend the day.

LCCS hopes to educate the public on the signs of child abuse and teach citizens how to prevent it.

You can participate Wednesday by taking a photo of yourself, your co-workers, group members, or club wearing blue. Share your photos with us on our Facebook page or by tweeting @WNWOtv. We'll share your photos with LCCS and spread the word on the fight against child abuse.
