After a beautiful start to the day, with mostly sunny skies this morning, things could get a little rocky this afternoon and evening as a dynamic cold front roars into the region. With ample morning sunshine we'll see highs temps for the day achieved during the early afternoon hours. Highs will actually get above seasonal norms, something we haven't seen much of recently, into the mid 80's with a hint of humidity. We'll cloud up quickly by mid-afternoon and see storms move in ahead of the actual cold front. Showers will be widespread with embedded thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to severe. The primary threat with these storms will be damaging winds and large hail. The storms will stick around into the early evening hours before sliding east overnight. Have a plan in place for yourself and loved ones to keep yourselves safe should these storms realize severe characteristics.
Friday morning will offer clearing skies and give way to a beautiful afternoon with tons of sunshine and highs, cooler, in the mid 70's. The good news: expect more of the same right on through the upcoming weekend.
