Weekend event cancellations, closings due to winter weather

Winter weather across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan has forced cancellations of a growing number of events.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for northwest Ohio until Saturday evening. Two to four inches of snow is expected to fall late Friday night into the mid-day Saturday. Most of the snow will be whipped around by strong winds.

will stick around into Sunday and beyond.
