Wheelchair-bound woman's truck stolen

Police are searching for the crooks who stole a wheelchair-bound Toledo woman's only mode of transportation. Robin Mower has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. She says her husband was leaving her son's baseball game at Joe E. Brown Park Tuesday when her specially modified pickup was stolen. It is a 2002 Dodge Dakota with a wheel chair lift bolted to the bed.
"This is the only way I can get around," says Mower. "It also has a special lift to help me get inside the truck. I can't believe someone would steal it." Mower, a former fitness instructor, was diagnosed with ALS in 2009. She recently accepted $3,200 for MDA from Toledo's Biggest Loser donations.
The Mowers have to wait for insurance to help her get a new vehicle. In the meantime, if you spot this vehicle, call Toledo Police at 419-245-3340.
