S tudents and staff at Whiteford Public Schools are under a low-level lockdown after a report of a phone threat.
Whiteford Schools says students are being held inside the school and all normal activities are proceeding as scheduled. Exterior doors are locked and the district is reassuring parents that students are safe.
An alert sent to parents says, "...our administrative team has received information from law enforcement personnel that forces us to take this precautionary measure."
Due to recent national events, and those unfolding Friday morning, school officials are using extreme caution.
