With potential for inclement weather Thursday night, trick-or-treaters and their parents are shopping for more than just costumes. In addition to ponchos, umbrellas and layers of clothes, sales associates at Spirit Halloween Store recommend stocking up on a few safety features.

"Flashlights and glow sticks," said sales associate Mike Doss. "So you'll be able to see the kids if it's raining or with the darkness, it kind of helps them out."

The store sells flashing LED lights, costumes with built-in lights and reflectors and even a glow-in-the-dark hairspray that's fabric-safe.

"It's hairspray that glows in the dark, so you can use it on a child, on a costume and it'll glow," said Doss. "So when they're out, you'll be able to see them. It's like reflectors that will be all over their costume." He also recommends sizing-up on costumes, for extra layers of clothes underneath.
