WNWO Exclusive: 180th Fighter Wing to welcome new commander in Feb.

WNWO has learned that the 180th will welcome a new base commander next month.

A source has revealed exclusively to WNWO, that the 180th Fighter Wing will welcome a new base commander in February.

According to the source, Col. Craig R. Baker will take over following a change of command ceremony at Toledo Express. The gathering is expected to bring distinguished guests, including four-star generals to northwest Ohio.

Until now, Col. Scott E. Reed has served as the acting commander of the 180th Fighter Wing.

In December, Baker was first brought in to tour his new post. He

is currently the 57th Wing vice commander at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

The Colonel has a distinguished service record and will be the first Active Duty Commander to command an Air Guard Unit, according to WNWO's source.
