Woman charged with abduction, theft

Impatience can have consequences.

At least that's what one woman is finding out after authorities say she made a hasty decision to take a car with a 2-year-old and another man inside that wasn't hers.

According to police, Danielle Martinez was waiting inside that car at the 7/11 on Woodville Rd in East Toledo early Tuesday morning.

Officials say she decided the two people inside the store, who are also the parents of the child, we're taking too long.

Martinez jumped in the drivers seat of the car and took off, said police.

She only took the vehicle three miles away to her boyfriends house where police say they later found her asleep in the car, along with the unharmed child and other man.

Authorities have not said whether alcohol was involved but believe it may have played a role.

Police have charged Martinez with grand theft auto and abduction.
