An Indiana woman was hurt early Tuesday when the vehicle she was riding in flipped and dangled over a guardrail near the US 68 overpass.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Jose Solorzano Malacara was driving a Ford pickup truck pulling a camper on US 30 when he lost control while traveling on the US 68 overpass. The truck hit the guardrail on the southside of the roadway, causing it to flip and rest on the side of the overpass. Sheriff's deputies said the chain connected to the camper prevented the vehicle from sliding down the embankment.
The passenger, 46-year-old Leslie Jennings of Warsaw, Ind., sustained injuries and was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Malacara was issued a citation for operation without reasonable control, according to the sheriff's office.
