The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released its statistics for incidents over the Memorial Day weekend, including 13 fatalities.
Among those killed, two victims whose bodies were so badly burned in a Sugar Ridge Road crash that they remain unidentified.
The number of deaths between last Friday and this Monday were lower than those recorded in 2013 when 18 were killed on Ohio roadways during the same 4-day period.
Of the 2014 deaths, three were alcohol or drug-related.
Overall, arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol were up statewide this year.
Seat belt citations were also up over this year's holiday weekend increasing over 19-percent when compared to 2013 statistics.
