Election Day 2013 kicked off with only minor problems affected balloting around northwest Ohio. One such issue occurred when WNWO News Director, Jim Blue, prepared his ballot in Ottawa Hills.
Blue received a ballot containing consideration for the Toledo Public Schools while voting in Ottawa Hills. He caught the irregularity and got the attention of poll workers, who then gave him the correct ballot.
Lucas County Board of Elections Director Meghan Gallagher said it was a poll worker's honest mistake. She added that the error was the only one like it reported in Lucas County on Tuesday.
TPS is asking voters to consider a levy renewal and vacant school board seats.
