Three new movies battled it out for number one at the box office on a slow weekend for Hollywood.
One of the contenders for the top spot was Police Story "End Of Watch" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena, which debuted with $13 million.
Also coming in with $13 million was horror film "House At The End Of The Street" starring Jennifer Lawrence from "The Hunger Games."
Clint Eastwood's Baseball film "Trouble With The Curve" came in a close third with just under $13 million: $12.7 million. These numbers are based on estimates and some studios believe the final tallies will see Eastwood's film edging out the others for first. Either way, sales remain sluggish for Hollywood.
Total box office revenues were down for a fourth straight weekend. The other new wide release this weekend, Lionsgate's Sci-Fi action film "Dredd", finished in sixth with $6.3 million.
