t's a mystery we've all wondered about at times: where do all those missing socks go? One family might now tell you to check your dog.

A 3-year-old Great Dane with a snacking problem is to blame for a family's missing sock problem. The dog, Claude, was taken to a vet after falling ill. When vets looked at x-rays of the canine, 43 and a half socks were visible in his belly.

After undergoing surgery to remove the feet covers, Claude has been doing great. He's been back for more check-ups, and vets are happy to report that, so far, he's sock-free.
