WASHINGTON (WBMA) —
According to Politico, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has terminated its fundraising agreement with Roy Moore in light of the recent sexual misconduct allegations against him.
Politico reports the RNC had paid around a dozen canvassers to work on Moore's campaign. Effective immediately, the RNC has completely withdrawn financial support of Moore's campaign.
The RNC's move leaves Moore further stranded, as top GOP officials such as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker Paul Ryan have already called on the former judge to step down.
